
We offer grass fed beef from our Angus and Gelbvieh beef herd, periodically through the year. These are prime young steers. It will be available in quarters, halves and whole beefs, and will be professionally processed. All cuts will be equally divided.
We calculate the cost of our beef by hanging weight. Typically a whole beef will have a hanging weight of 500 to 700 pounds. We ask $6.00 per pound of hanging weight for all cuts. This includes steaks, roasts, and ground beef. After packaging, the actual weight of the meat you receive will be slightly less than the carcass hanging weight was, because some bones are removed during the processing. If you are interested in getting the liver and bones also, please let me know at the time that you place your order. You get to fill out the cut sheet with your preferred cuts if you get a half or whole beef. You will also pay the processor directly for the processing.
I will usually notify our share members in advance when our grass fed beef will become available. If you are interested, contact me, and we can reserve yours and arrange payment for the deposit.
